Hello,
I am planning on upgrading to either a GTX 780 with a ACX cooler or to GTX 780 Ti with just the stock cooler. I do not plan on overclocking and I might put it in SLI in the future. I would like to get as much life out the card as possible. So, I wasn't sure if the stock cooler will decrease the live span at all or if it wouldn't even matter. Also, what will I need to do to ensure the new graphics card will properly? Do I need to uninstall old drivers and then boot up again? I am sorry still learning how to figure out computers and their components.

More about : gtx 780 stock cooler alright

I would recommend an ACX cooler for SLI as it sucks air from the outside, so cooler air is being drawn on the GPU. If you're going to SLI though, you should overclock first to get the most performance out of one card.

I have gtx titan which i believe will be the same cooler as stock. It actually blows the air out the back which is nice if you have a good case setup with proper fan placement. I'd rather get rid of the air then blow hot air around inside the case but thats just me.
