Does overclocking ALWAYS mean higher fan noise and higher temperatures? Most of the time I find my i5-3470 running at idle core speeds and even my HD 6850 is at idle clock rate. Unless I run virus scans and malware scans at same time, the CPU don't really work that hard. Even opening multiple browser tabs or playing Youtube videos don't work the graphics card nor the CPU cores. Is my i5-3470 being too powerful? I am finding hard to justify overclocking it even if it is for 4 bins from 3.6GHz to 4.1GHz.
