1) turn off your laptop, unplug power, remove battery and try to turn it on. wait about a minute, then reinsert battery, plug in power.
2) turn it on and immediately begin tapping the F8 key.
once you get the computer to boot, go into the control panel power settings and make the power button turn the computer off instead of sleeping.
