The 760 is a quite faster card. Check these benchmarks:

http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/zardon/...

The 4gb or Vram is useless, unless playing on 3 screens, in which case both cards aren't strong enough to to that. If the 270x 4gb is around 360-370$, you might as well get a gtx 770, which is MUCH faster than both the 760 and 270x.

Very helpful, very helpful indeed! A few more questions, will my MotherBoard http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=... support those GPUs ? Thank you, kind man.

Oh. P.S. Is Nvidia GeForce cards still better than AMD ? :)  For the new games.

Very helpful, very helpful indeed! A few more questions , though, if You wouldn't mind. ;D. Which one of the gtx770 cards should I get then? Maybe MSI GeForce GTX 770 TF or MSI GeForce GTX 770 OC ? And, will my MotherBoard http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=... support those GPUs ? Thank you, kind man.

Well, I REALL like to reccomend asus, their Direct CUII cooling is amazing and REALLY quiet, but usually costs a premium. In this case, however, Asus (and MSI) are the cheapest. So, I'd definetely get the Asus. The EVGA Supreclocked costs 30$ more, but it's core clock is only 1mhz more than the Asus version.

This card is really good and I reccomend it.

Good luck!

His PCI-e is Ver 2.0, with the memory clock for the GTX card set to 6 GHz wouldn't it be better for him to buy the R9 270x (Which only has 1400 Mhz memory clock or something?) since PCI-e 2.0 has a maximum of 5 GHz memory clock? Wouldn't that bottleneck cancel out the 760 performance advantage?

I did some search and it turns out that 1400 MHz memory clock translates to (1400*4) data rate and it also turns out that 6 GHz is not actually a memory clock but also data rate, so both cards actually have memory clock above the max for PCI-e 2.0 so I guess both will be bottle-necked although I read some where that nVidia cards are more sensitive to PCI-e bus bandwidth that AMD cards.

PCI 2.0 don't bottleneck nothin'... Check these benches. A gtx680 is 1 fps slower than on pci 3.0. It's minimal difference, and yes, the memory clock of a card is always X4, but when you say for example 6ghz (1500mhz x4), people usually say 1500mhz, or 6000mhz effective.

And as for your question, EmoPenguin

No, both companies are the same. Nvidia used to be better and still is, because some games are made to play better on Nvidia cards. But because of crazy people buying hundreds of AMD cards for bit coin mining or whatever it's called, the R9 series and some 7xxx series became expensive again. AMD rules the European market now, because you can find a R9 280X for 250€, which is dirt cheap, since it's as fast as a 7970 and that STILL costs 350€. The 770 in EU cost about 320€, if you want from a good company.

In the US, however, Nvidia is cheaper. Hence the 770 being 339$, which is a GREAT deal.

But both AMD & Nvidia Make awesome stuff, just somethings suck for the money you're paying (GTX Titan) unless you pay 5000€ for your PC, haha.

Is GTX 760 a good choice for gaming at 1280*1024 or is it a meaningless overkill? Is the Physix acceleration worth the extra cash over a cheaper AMD card?

Go for the 760. You'll be able to max out any games. And Physx while it's being used in allot of games, it doesn't really do wonders. Besides, you can have physix with your CPU, so I can enable it in games, but it'll stress my cpu.
But dob't go for amd at that price point. The 760 is one of the best price/performance cards. Nothing from Amd at that price point, especially in the US, can beat it.

The R9 270 is 79$ cheaper than the Windforce Gigabyte version and 93$ cheaper than the ASUS UCII version while the R9 270x is 36$ less than winforce and 50$ cheaper than the ASUS version where I live.

I don't know if you're talking about the R9 270x or gtx 760... but in any case, get this:

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperClocked-Dual-Link-Graph...

It's EVEN CHEAPER than the 270x, which is laughable.... so, if you can, get it.

The EVGA is out of stock, and I don't live in the US so prices are different I guess. What I meant by the previous post is that the R9 270 is 79$ cheaper than the Gigabyte GTX 760 WindForce OC and 93$ cheaper than the Asus GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC while the R9 270x is 36$ less than Gigabyte GTX 760 WindForce OC and 50$ cheaper than the Asus GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC version where I live.

Why wouldn't it? Look under expansion slots:

1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16.

It will work, but you won't be able to SLI.

As for you, AnEwG, I'm sorry for my late responses , but my country is hit by a snow storm and the internet is slow.

In any case, if the 760 is 36$ more than the 270x, get it. It depends ofcourse on your other hardware (mostly Psu, cpu and motherboard) if it can handle it.

As for the demonstration of power: the 270x is a re-branded HD7870, while the gtx760 is faster than a HD7950. Not close to beating the 7970, but is in between the two. So , for the 36 or 39$, the price difference is worth the performance gain.

I hope I helped.

Does his board has only 16 PCIe lanes?

No problem :)
I will with it if I can although I am afraid it is an overkill at my resolution and I have seen some nasty complains about 2D performance of Kepler based cards -including gtx760- which kind of discouraged me. Thank you for your help :)
