Hi, I now have a new room with my desktop and home servers in. They were all previously connected by wireless to the home hub as I couldn't wire to where they were previously located in the house. Now I am able to connect them all up with cable, I need some help with how this can be achieved.

My hub has 4 ethernet ports. I need to be able to connect a lot of computers to the home hub from the computer room because I will also use the room for LAN parties which potentially means about 20 pc's that need to be connected.

As I will be wiring through the house, the cabling from the hub to the room needs to be as minimal as possible. However I want the best performance I can get. Suggestions on how this can best be done would be appreciated! Thanks.

Thanks, however will this still perform? Say I have 4 computers connected to the switch, will it perfom just as well has having 4 separate cables going from the hub to the computers? Given that the single cable going to the hub from the switch is high quality?

Yes. A gigabit connections can carry a lot of data.
