In my build I'm going to include the i5-3570k however when I went to go and order it I found 2 different ones. One with Intel HD 2500 graphics and another that was a little more expensive, the Intel HD 4000 graphics.

From what I've gathered this is basically just the processors own graphics card so yo speak.

But if I'm going to be ordering a seperatr GPU (far more powerful) would it even matter which processor I got? Like do the integrated graphics matter WHATSOEVER if you're using your own seperatr graphics card?

Solution
In a word NO.

Even the 4000 isn't a gaming chip, although I have a i5-4670, with a 4600 integrated, and it handles Flight Sim X, at 100%

But FSX doesn't really need a good GPU, just a really good CPU.

Games on the other hand need a really good GPU.

Intel even makes a few chips without on-board,for a small discount probably the chips that the graphics portion failed.

i suggest get i5 4670 , which has better 3D performance

if you re getting a dedicated card , i5 3570K would be sufficient as a processor
