I have an ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard and have been having an issue with memory recognition. I'm to smart with comps so I'll explain the best I can. On my MB I have 4 slots for memory. 2 black and 2 blue. I have a 4GB stick in the first black slot and a 4GB stick in the first blue slot. The computer reads this memory fine. When I attempted to place a 4GB stick of matching memory in the other black and blue slots the computer wouldn't boot up. A red lit up on the MB. The memory is CORSAIR Vengeance DDR3. All the memory is the same.

Thank you for the input, but the it's not possible to return the MB. I took out the initial two sticks of memory and put the two new sticks in the first two slots and the comp started up. It seems like the dual channel mode is defective.
