Is car paint a good choice for painting computer cases?

I want to use nice a car paint to paint a PC case. I've never done anything like this though. I've never really painted anything. The tools I have at the moment are a sandblaster, air compressor, and a respirator mask. I know I need a spray gun, but if I'm missing anything else please let me know.

Let the questions roll. Lol

What kind of primer, car paint, and clear coat should I get? What kind of spray gun should I get and does it connect to an air compressor? Are there any chemicals that I need to mix with the paint before painting? Where could I find these kind of products? Does the room need to be a certain temperature while I'm painting the cases. What are some good painting techniques to use?

I know I'm asking a lot of questions; however, I've been trying to find out how to do this right for about four months now. I've also watched a countless number of YouTube videos. I just don't think that I'm ready at the moment. I feel like there might be someone on Tom's Hardware that has a great amount of experience in this field.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I think you will be ok since it isn't standard paint (Don't use cheap stuff) it will work with a metal PC case bar plastics.

I don't know much about car paint but it will work fine hell even spray paint works as long as it's primed.

Hmmmm, Well I think Car paint may be a bit of a tricky one as the paint may insulate heat inside the case. Although spray paint may be a better alternative as it won't give a thick coat. Therefore, it won't insulate the heat inside of the case. But car paint isn't(From my point of view), a very good choice. I would go for spray paint as it won't give a thicker coat. Therefore, allowing heat to expel from the case. But really it depends on whether you have a metal case or not.
Metal usually expels the heat more.
