Hey i am going to be building a pc for my friend, and i have pulled this list together, http://pcpartpicker.com/user/DrDeion/saved/3xLa, so first off he does want AMD, he doesnt have a OS and im letting him choose his own case, so i left him 100$ for those two things. So really i dont want a bunch of good suggestions, i just want to know if this is all compatible and if this build will run games like bf4 on high with good frames, thanks in advance and have a great day!

The apu processor you have selected has no purpose going with a strong gpu like a 270x. The purpose of getting an apu is usually to save money and avoid the need for a gpu. You could circumvent this by getting an am3+ processor like the fx 6300 which is stronger then the weaker cpu cores on the 5800k, and is not dragged down in heat and oc ability by the inbuilt gpu as it has none. This is fine since you are looking at a 270x also and on that note I have a 7870 and it does not need 4gb at 1080p of vram unless crossfire is in use (270x is rehash of my gpu). Do not get am2 get am3+ if going with amd trust medowngrade my earlier build from a 8320 to a 6300 if you must save money. Otherwise it has a far better general build than yours I am...

BF4 on high needs 6300 with 7870/270x to get 60fps smooth I do not think there is any purpose in getting the apu with a discrete card like the 270x. Get a 8320 and a different psu for reliability, also get a lower amount of vram as 270x can't utilize 4 gb. Get a 212 evo to cool the 8320 and you got alot nicer build.

A few things:

1. A decent case and OS will be more than $100, more like $125-150.
2. You have 1 stick of RAM, and you're paying too much. Get 2 sticks of 4gb and you shouldn't need to pay more than $65-70 for 8GB of DDR3 1600 9 CAS memory.
3. combine1237 is right about not using an A10 for a gaming rig with a dedicated GPU.
4. The PSU is a terrible choice. It's a cheap brand, has terrible reviews, and has 2 split uneven 12V rails instead of a solid single rail. 700W is overkill for your build. Get a better branded 500-600W PSU and you'll be fine.
5. Unless you're going to Bitcoin mine, the R9 270X is over-priced. GTX760 is a better performer - should be able to get one for $250. If you're going to Bitcoin mine, then the 270X is fine. But again, combine1237 is right in there's no need for 4GB, so you should be able to save some $$ there.

So, if you want suggestions, just ask.....

I'd follow combine1237 (and vertexx) suggestions/guidance since you're looking to build a system that will run BF4 at high resolutions. Simply put, for these types of games, a discrete GPU and an FX-6000 (or FX-8000) series processor is the best way to go.
