Hi guys,

Built my new pc and migrated my stuff over. This includes a ssd and a raid 1 both previously in use.

Wiped the of partition of the ssd and went ahead. No issues.

Installed Intel storage manager or whatever, it only shows the ssd, only that drive period. It says the ssd is in good condition but regularly will pop up an error in the notification bar, one that says that needs my immediate attention. Open ism and he says yup all good and your only drive is this ssd here. Oddly, the rest of the computer sees the raid just fine, I'm downloading to it now in fact. SMART programs can also see a raid but aren't able to query the individual drives. (normal from old pc) the bios sees all 3 drives. About to pull the cable on one and see what happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

how did you create the raid 1 to begin with?

If memory serves, it was with intel storage manager in a different pc, running windows vista or 7.

I think at one point I had issues and I just wiped one drive and told the ISM to dup the unwiped drive and make a raid 1 (again)

Even when I went to install windows 8 it didn't show the drives as separate. so somewhere low level its telling the computer its a raid.

which motherbd did you upgrade to? Are the sata ports in raid mode?

How does the drive look in disk management? (run diskmgmt.msc)
