Hello everyone first time user on this site and i need urgent help! My current SSD which acts as my main storage device is acting strange lately. It boots my OS within 10-15 seconds but when i try to start my programs it takes up to FIVE MINUTES for them to start up!!! The weird part is that it does not always happen so!!

I am currently using window 8.1 64 bit and my SSD is a Samsung 840 Evo series and has 1 tb of storage space. My current build which i personally put together was done at the end of November of 2013. This has not started happening until recently as of 1/15/14. I will appreciate any assistance in this matter.

My current build is as follows:
Motherboard: ASUS z87-pro
CPU: Intel i5-4760k 3.40ghz
RAM:2x8gb corsair vengeance ram sticks
GPU: Geforce gtx 660
PSU: Corsair AX760I
SSD:Samsung Evo 1Tb
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
Case. Corsair 600t

PS. i mainly use my pc as a gaming rig and have only used 289 gb of memory from my SSD

Thank you noidea_77 i check my event viewer and i can not understand what the information is telling me. I do on the other hand get two pirmary error sources which one involving Schannel and the other DistributedCOM both are system errors. For Schannel the error code is 43 and states that the error caused a terminated connection. Any ideas?
