I need help. I just bought a 4 bay Asustor 604T, connected to my Dlink AC1200. It has 4 x 4TB. After initializing and setting up RAID 5, I started to transfer files over from my Qnap TS 221(also attached to my router). At first I tried transferring in one shot 100 gb of media files, the Asustor NAS after about a minute displayed a message on the unit saying LAN 1 Lost. I checked and changed the network cable, I rebooted the NAS and I went through the NAS settings. This time I tried 40gb of media and again same issue.I also tried moving the network cable to from LAN1 to LAN2, same issue and even worse

I then tried to transfer my media files from a external hard drives(Toshiba canvio and a WD) using the front USB 3.0 port of the NAS. I got the same LAN 1 Lost message.

I am thinking this is an issue with the hardware.

What do you think it could be and is there anything I need to do in terms of settings or hardware or is this unit just broken?

Thanks!
Danny

Hello Danny. Do you think it could have been (Lan 1 Lost) the result of a software update? I have the same problem but I can still do backups. I have the 606t 6 bay. Jim cojim@aol.com
