Basically I have recently been playing alot of Garrys Mod and Battlefield 4 and have noticed some lag on each game (Dropping beneath 60 fps) I'm sure my system can run it fine as I have spent a hefty amount of money on it. So I decided to do a NovaBench test and achieved a score of 2243. I originally thought that was good and then saw people with 680's are getting highter GPU scores than me. Is my GTX 780 underperforming? Any help would be appreciated.

Specs: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel Core i73770K 3.50GHz @ 3901 MHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780
RAM: 8 GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz
HDD: 1 TB 7200 rpm 171 MB/s write speed
PSU: Corsair 650 TX
MOBO: Gigabyte z77-ds3h

Hmm, overclocking your CPU would help a lot, overclocking the video card could be done as well. Though you didn't list specifics on cooling, so hard to say how much you could push either.

GTX 680s in SLI will be more powerful than a GTX 780, so that is not an issue there. What resolution are you playing at and exactly what settings are you using for BF4?

With those settings, and assuming that your GPU isn't overclocked at all, I would expect it to drop below 60fps on some of the bigger maps and/or games with more players.

Hmm okay then. I guess I need to go OC my CPU and GPU a bit. I will post back differences after, thank you.

No problem, most 780s can add around another 100Mhz to the core, which should serve you well.

Thanks for your help Drew010, I will mark your answer as the solution and go tweak some settings and OC some things.

Just remember, Battlefield 4 is heavily unoptimised. Try run a benchmark on Battlefield 3 if you have it, and compare it to other 780 benchmarks.
