Hey, having thought over it and tinkered for the past few days do you think this a decent set up for a gaming pc.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2Hyf1

Ive pretty much settled on these bits i just want to know by those who know more than me that i am getting the best bang for my buck.

Feel free to point out an alternative here and there but i'm looking to stick to that overall price.

Thanks.

How about this mobo?

He will be driving up the price when he orders that heap of scrap then has to purchase another board when that one dies ,tear his system down and build it over again.

Even if he isn't OCing everyone wants something stable, reliable and long lasting and sometime parts are super cheap for a reason

Gaming, Self built system and OCing go hand in hand

I'm going to follow your quote, but ask a question instead.

Is that heap of scrap going to be the motherboard you're predicting he/she is going to buy, or just the entire supply of the model in general?

I personally believe that that 970a-g43 and 970a-g46 are both very poor mobo models

Thanks for all the replies, honestly i may try and over clock the cpu at some point but not anything drastic im not going to try and test its limits etc. I was originally going with this board:

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a78lmusb3

Then changed to the one i listed in the original post, unfortunately i really am on a budget and short of changing some of the other components i will have to stick to the £50-£60 price point on the mobo.

So is the one i listed definitely a no no if i want a reliable mobo, because that is more important to me than being able to OC the hell out of a cpu.
