Monitor showing no dvi-d output

So, I recently built my first pc. All the parts seem to be working fine, except for the monitor...I can't connect to it, and when i try, it displays no dvi-d output signal. please help. parts list-http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Hyrl

Then there's the problem. Is the 8 pin power cable connected?
Is the CPU fan spinning when starting the board?
Can you also check the last 4 digits on a a thin bar code sticker on the moatherboard, to make sure that the BIOS does support the CPU?

Edit: yes, you have to connect it.
