What's going to be the best GPU for 1440p? or 3x 1080p setup?

Alright, after I'm waiting for my visa settlement to come lol, I want to start playing on 1440p or 3x 1080p monitors. At the moment, I have a EVGA ACX gtx 770 2gb. A i5 4670k overclocked at 4.4ghz, 8gb g skill sniper series, I have 2 fans from NZXT cooling the CPU, 4 corsair af120s and 2 af140s.

So.....I'm looking around on newegg, NCIX, and Canadacomputers, and I think either these 4 will work. I really don't have a budget, just want to play on high settings, and smoothly.
Some maybe say "SLI the 770s" but I don't know if I should. I only have a 760 watt PSU from Corsair, the AX760, and sli'ing with that, people have mix feelings about that. But if someone knows I can, please tell me ;)

The GTX 780, either from ASUS, EVGA and MSI.

The GTX 780 TI, same for the 780.

The R9 290, either from MSI, sapphire, or the XFX coolers.

The R9 290x, same for the 290.

But if it was coming down to SLI, I'll either get the same card, or MSI.

I think the only thing that holds me back from the 290x is 1. Its price, and 2. Not much more power then the 290.

Ehhhh I don't know if this is true, but I heard about gigabyte cards burning out from AMD because they factory overclock to much. True or false?
  3. the custom cooler is 10 celcius better at least. keep it under 82 with a custom fan profile and you will enjoy a strong 1440p performance.
