CPU and motherboard incompatible?

Solution
Your motherboard is compatible with that CPU. This is the message you are getting. Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs. Basicly its saying you might have to do a bios update. But more than likely you will be fine. I would not worry about it. Your CPU is a AM3+ socket and your mother board is a AM3+ socket. Your good to go enjoy building your system!

You'll be fine, you just might need a bios update before it will function properly, which shouldn't be too difficult :) It might not even need the update, but there is a possibility with those older boards and the newer chips
