Sorry if its too long I just want to state everything that happen so no more wild question.

I'm not so sure if my video card is broken cause first of all I broke my MOBO by screwing my motherboard on my CPU case while not using the standoff screw and it made my Motherboard Static, after that my computer is still working but sometimes my computer is having no display issue and ALL of the FAN are going wild crazy like running in their top speed. The Video Card, The PSU and The Fan of Processor are going wild crazy.

What I do if I'm having no display issue is just turning off the computer by pressing power and just keep on turn off and turning on until the no display gone but there's a problem on top of that I keep hearing a beep sound everytime I turned off the computer after getting no display issue.

I knew that most of the problem of no display is Memory Ram. This is what I did in last two days cause I'm having the worst NO DISPLAY, it keeps on no getting no display consecutively. I turn off the computer first then I tried to remove the memory ram I accidentally touch my video card Radeon HD 6850 and i feel shock by it and also I accidentally touch the steel part of my processor fan "Ceedge 200 Deepcool) I feel shock too then I remove the 2 slot of memory ram then clean the yellow part and put that yellow part on the wall then install it to my computer when I start the computer it appears no display/signal, its not getting in startmenu unlike before. I keep on removing the ram and still the same I thought I broke my Memory Ram but somethings bugging me that drives me crazy is to remove my video card on my PC and I fear that my video card is broken. When I remove the video card my computer start and I'm so sad, I feel like I've lost everything.

The reason why I post here is I still don't believe my video card is broken, I can't really accept that, yeah I know its part of denial but atleast I just want to know the truth from expert.

There is a chance the video card, cpu, hdd and memory is damaged - anything connected to the psu is at risk.

Cant be sure if video card is damaged just by the fans spinning as the video card is getting power from the psu, the motherboard does the rest.

Cut your losses, replace the motherboard. When you get the new motherboard, please be patient and build your computer properly and hopefully nothing else is damaged.

Use brass/plastic standoffs for the motherboard as these are non-conductive.

Hi Drazard, first thought after reading first sentence, first paragraph is you've shorted the motherboard. Yes, installing the motherboard without standoffs can immediately do damage, shorting the solder joints where it has made contact with the case.

My advice would be to remove everything from the case and breadboard the motherboard. Place the motherboard on a bread/chopping board and connect the parts. Powering the system like this to test.

If your getting electrical shocks, you still have a short somewhere. The standoffs should raise the motherboard off the case chassis and depending on case and motherboard, standoffs used from 6 and upwards.

I already did that before I remove my mobo in the case but I place it in Styrofoam then start it and it works then my friend put the standoffs in the case and put some electrical tape into the standoff then he place back my mobo in the case and it works then he told me that my mobo is damage already due to the loud pop and smelly thing of my PSU before or the mistake that I did in motherboard. It's been atleast 3 weeks already since he installed the mobo in the case. My computer is working back then but I'm still experiencing sometimes of no display or no signal in my monitor but It doesn't affect me at all cause I just need to restart my computer and the no display will be gone but recently the no display is getting worst were no matter how many restart I did it keeps on coming then I decide to remove ram and keep on reinstalling it until were I have no choice but to remove the video card to test if the VC is faulty then the no signal/display is gone.

Hi bonju,

But do you think my video card is faulty too? before I remove it the fan of my video card is still moving. I'm still wondering if I should re-install the video card or not but there's a feeling of me that if I put back my video card I might damage my video card due to static motherboard.
