hi, i got a new mobo, and there is a platic cap over the socket, LGA 1155 to be exact. But is says WARNING, do not remove until cpu is installed, how would i take it off? Does it pop off if the cpu is in when the retention arm is pulled down?
Thats just some bad wording on their part, it serves to keep the pins on the socket covered while there isn't a CPU in there. Open up the lever, remove it, place the CPU in, close the lever. I can't really think of a way i would have worded it in 8 words for a sticker so i can see how they ended up with that confusing sentence.

Bent as in 'slightly out of line', or bent as in 'bent all the way over'?

There ar about two at a higher angle than the others, look at a pic of a lga 1155 socket, all of them are slaneted
