Hello guys. I have a nice PC with a GTX 550 Ti graphics card. I am going to buy three new monitors and wondering if my current card can handle them.

These are the monitors: http://www.asus.com/us/Monitors_Projectors/VN247HP/

Thanks a lot guys!

For just the Windows desktop, any card would do, e.g. GeForce GT 610.
For games to run on the three screens though, you need to enable Nvidia surround.
For this you need an SLI setup so the two cards need to be identical.
Trying to run games on three monitors with such lowered cards though, you are going to be severely limited with resolutions and detail settings.
Far Cry 3 at 2560x1080 resolution (3 screens at 1920x1080) with ultra settings
Two GTX 660 cards in SLI can manage and average of 15.1 frame per second.

Newer cards like the GTX 700 series support up to four monitors on the one card.
These only have two DVI connectors, but you could use HDMI for the third monitor.
With two of these newer cards in SLI, you could use two DVI connections on one card and one DVI connection on the other card.
Benchmarks of what you can expect:

To give you some reference point to your existing card, a GTX 770 is roughly 3 times the performance of your current card.

Wow. Thanks a ton for this information, I'm going to look into getting a GTX 770. So if I do get a 700 series card, should I even keep my old 550? Or would replacing it be better.

You would replace the current card if looking at a GTX 700 series card.

A GTX 770 scores 32 to 35 frames per second in the bench marks they have chosen.
At that resolution I would suggest a 4GB model if looking at the GTX 770.
I'm not sure that the 4GB model will improve frame rates much at these settings, but may allow higher detail settings in future games.

A GTX 780 might be better if looking at a single card, scoring 38 to 43 frames per second in the same benchmarks.
The GTX 780 has 3GB of video memory.
