Hello. I just bought a laptop with an Intel i5 4200m and a Nvidia 740m. I realized that it is dual core. It's clock speed is 2.5 to 3.1. The next best processor that I could have gotten was an intel i7 4700 mq. It is quad core with a clock speed of 2.4 up to 3.4. It would have been $100 more with the i7, so I got the i5. Both support hyperthreading. My question is that world The dual core be significantly worse than the quad core. I do plan on gaming and Photoshop, but don't mind turning down settings in the games a bit. Would the dual core i5 be a lot slower on games and Photoshop? Will it not be good enough in a couple of years? Or will it not make much of a difference? Please tell me the differences for me. Also, will I be able to change the cpu later? Thank you in advance.
