I have 5 external USB HDDs: 3 are standard SATA drives in a Thermaltake BlakX dock, 1 is a Buffalo external 500G drive, and the last is a SanDisk 320G portable drive. I have used the Buffalo for a couple of years without problems. and I formatted the SATA drives using the dock connected to my laptop. Now, the PC which has an AMD 6-core chip and an ASUS M5A97 board, does not see any of them either in Windows Explorer, Device Manager, of Disk Management. The machine is running WIN 7 Pro 64-bit, and I have updated all drivers. I" am also out of ideas.
