I have a newly built PC. Here are the specs.
Processor: AMD FX 6300.
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 (BIOS version 1903)
Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231416
GPU: GTX 650
In the motherboard I have the BIOS set to default settings, and the RAM speed set to 1600MHz.
However, when I check to make sure it is going at 1600MHz using the program CPU-Z this is what it tells me: http://gyazo.com/f132504d67c82882230a92cf744793a7
As you can see, DRAM Frequency is at 722.4 instead of 800. Can anyone help me with this?
NOTE: Nothing has been changed with any piece. CPU is at stock speed and RAM settings have not been touched at all.
EDIT: I had the PC set to TURBO, apparently this messes with a multiplier. I tried putting PC on NORMAL and setting RAM at 1600 and now CPU-Z is marking 800 DRAM frequency But now I have a new really important question!
Do I lose a lot of performance by going to NORMAL from TURBO on my PC? I'm already upset at the fact I cant have TURBO and 1600 speed at the same time
