I have an asus 760g chipset usb 3.0 version, i used an fx 6300, i oc'd to 4.3 ghz, said it was at less than 50 c, so i went for 4.5 ghz... it said "Sorry! an error has occured" win 8.1 blue screen of death i assume, but are my temp monitors lying to me? I have a rosewill 15 dollar 1 copper plate heat sink :p  i find it suspicious.

More about : overclock 6300

if the idle temp was at 50 when you oc to 4.3 means you're already running too hot.

at 80-85 the cpu will already start to decrease clock speed to decrease temperatures. 100 is way too much. either bad cooler application or bad thermal paste application would cause this. or simply the overclock is already too much.

try dialing back to 4.0 and post temperatures here and at the stock frequency please

50c is nothing. 80c is your thermal limit. definitely dont go over 94c. you need more vcore.

Stock is 3.5 ghz, while playing BF4 It's max is 48 C, at 4.0 ghz , highest is 55 C. Never went above 81% usage though

if you are going to overclock its important to monitor temps, but idle temps dont tell the whole story.you have to run a program like prime 95 to see not only your temps under load, but whether or not you even have a stable overclock in the first place.
