i have a 939-pin Asus A8v-Deluxe motherboard, i was wondering if a radeon ddr video card would work cause it doesnt seem too. im getting nothing on my monitor. thx for your time.
The problem here is that we're dealing with such old technology that it's difficult to determine where the fault is. I can't tell if it's a bad graphics card or if your motherboard is shot. About the only thing I could recommend is purchasing a new graphics card and hoping that it works. The problem with that, however, is that most cards that should work with your computer are no longer supported by their manufacturers.
Assuming the graphics card is an AGP 4x/8x graphics card and it's properly installed in the top brown slot on your motherboard, it should work just fine. Exactly what video card do you have?
and yes it is an agp card. 1 thing i didnt notice when i got the motherboard is that there was no plug-in for the monitor so i guess its kind of critical that i find the right card??
