While the Dual-GPU GTX 690 might provide a higher overall frame rate, it's unlikely to provide a better overall experience, since many games will be forced into single GPU mode and run more slowly, and the frame time variation will not be as good. The 780Ti is much more consistent, and will guarantee a good experience in almost all circumstances short 4k or multi-monitor Crysis 3.
