Hi, when I run OCCT my max temps after five minutes go up to 72 degrees.I have a 4770K running at stock speeds. I honestly expected much lower max temps from a H100, is that normal?
The temps are good, just don't let them get past 80. If you want to see improvements, change the fan direction, maybe that'll improve performance. If your room temperature is high, then the cooler will also be less effective at cooling.
That's normal? But when overclocking 80 is the limit and I bought the H100 to OC, so I have 8 degrees to OC with? Wow, the H100 is definitely NOT as good as the reviews make out. I was expecting to have about 20 degrees to work with, not 8.
My idle temps are 25 to 30 degrees (with the fans on max).

thats not normal because i have an fx 8320 ocd to 4.5 ghz atm run prime 95 and my max is 45-50°c. Maybe you used to much thermal paste (only put like a grain of rice bit of it on you cpu) or the pump is running very slow or there is a defect because ass far as i know people where hitting 5ghz with an 3770k on a h100 while there temps stay at like 55°c +-.

Exactly, something must be wrong. I'll redo the thermal paste and get back to you.

Definitely something wrong, I have a 3570k at .9 gHz above stock speed air cooled and I max out in the low 60s C during Prime95 testing. You should be getting much cooler temps, especially liquid cooled at stock clock speeds.
hello jaslion, the temps between amd cpu and intel cpu are way way different, intel cpu are supposed to run hotter, amd's safe limit is 62c whereas intel is 80c
gotcha...I agree something is definitely wrong there. I would return it if you reapplied thermal paste and it still has high temps. Could be a bad pump.
When I first turn on my computer, for about five seconds I hear the fans on the H100 spin up, they sound much louder then when I'm doing stress tests. Is it possible the fans aren't spinning up to full speed?
Bro ,
With H100 you should be getting much lower temperature that this ! I am a bit suprised to see these temps ! Get your cooler replaced from where you brought it ! I have heard some pump problem followed by leak so keep an eye on it ! Fan speed changes as the tempurature rises. (on AUTO mode).
