Greetings everyone !

I am a new user. I recently bought a new desktop and I am seeking your advice on something. The desktop I bought is the Packard bell bare-bone PC win an Intel core i3 3240 processor. (http://www.pcworld.ie/Product/PACKAR...-PC/316290/307) The built in graphics card is abysmal so I am thinking of buying an additional one. My question is: IS this desktop able to support it ? The case only has some USB ports behind so I wonder if and how I will be able to connect it. Any ideas ?

Your PC appears to be a variation of a slim-line case. To add a discrete GPU you will need to look inside and make sure your motherboard has at least one PCIe x 16 slot (or refer to the user manual that came ith your machine. Additionally, you will need to find out/determine what wattage PSU your PC has in it. Again, either look inside to find out or see if your manual says. Finally, with it being a slim-line style case, you might have problems finding a compatible PSU with sufficient wattage to power a discrete GPU that will fit the case, and if your current PSU is capable (or you can find a case/GPU compatible PSU) then you will probably need to buy a low-profile GPU. Let us know what you can find out about your PSU and motherboard and we may be able to assist. As a last resort, you can try going to the Packard-Bell website and see what they say is upgradeable.

Thanks man !

There actually is a PCIe x 16 slot

So I guess chances are I can install a second GPU.
On the watts there is no information on either website so I will have to ask the Packard Bell tech support.
Thanks again
