So I have a gaming laptop with a nvdia gforce 755 graphics card an i7 processor and 8gb of ram. I should be able to run almost any game smoothly but it gets low fps levels when playing bioshock infinite but it well exceeds the minimum settings. I was wondering if I burn't out the graphics card because I used to play games with it on a flat surface. What could be wrong with my graphics card/ laptop?

How "low" is low fps? Mobile graphics are much much different than standard desktop graphics in terms of power. What graphic settings are you using in Bioshock Infinite?

According to http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-755M.102... , the 755M is only expected to get about 24 fps in Ultra settings, which is fairly low. If that's about what you're getting, then your graphics card is performing as expected.

Its on lowest settings for everything and check out this video with the same laptop running the game smoothly.

Well I would rule out burning up the gpu they are pretty robust now a days. It could be a driver issue but that is also unlikely. I would install the newest drivers again than if that does not work try the beta drivers and if that does not work reinstall the normal drivers. Also is bioshock the only game that runs that low?

yea than your physical gpu is fine. It really sounds to me like its a driver issue I mean usually just one game does not bug out but in your case I'd say its worth looking into. Other than the drivers you might want to try to reinstall the game.
