AMD FX 8350 runs at 60 degrees, is this hot?

I've got a FX 8350, and I use the cooler that came with it (a CM air cooler, with a rather small fan but large block), and I noticed that the cpu temp is closing up to 60 degrees when I play League of Legends. League is NOT a hard game, even tho I keep all the settings at High. I've got a GTX 770, and it runs at 40-48 degrees in game. I wonder what causes this? Is the cooler just bad or what? I've got some other coolers as well, and with my CM seidon 120 (water cooler) the cpu never goes above 40. I've started using a new kind of thermal paste, could that be the problem? I just think 50-60 degrees is a little too hot, and want to know if I should do something about this? Is it too hot? Help and thoughts appreciated.

I had an 8320 with the stock cooler as well
I live in UK, airtemp is around 16C at home
At prime95, so 100% usage on stock, temp went up to 64
With a Xigmatek Dark Knight 2, 1 fan, stock clocks, I got 33C at 100% load

It is normal, not dangerous, although AMD stated that the cores get unstable above 65 degree

The thing is, I've not overclocked it at all, so I think 60 is rather a lot. If I had overclocked it I could understand that it goes that high, but I see no reason that the temp should be that high while playing lol when I havent overclocked it.

where do you live and how warm is the air in your room? does your case have proper ventilation? for me one less fan caused 4 degree temperature (att my xigmatek)
run prime95 and see how hot do they get

Anyway, that cooler is designed to work as good as it does not damage the cpu, if you are looking for a quieter PC and lower temps, the way always the custom coolers, that are over engineered for a stock CPU, so they can bring away the heat quite successfully, see my case

+1, Exactly this. 62c on cores, 70c at socket is max recommend by AMD directly. The 212 EVO is a great cheap alternative. If you want to overclock go for a Noctua NH-D14, and H100i or equivalent cooler.

I live in norway, but i have an oven below my desk. My machine has rather good cooling and air flow. But I fear the temp of the air might have been 25+ sooo..
