r9 290 tri x vs nvidia gtx 780?

I am thinking of getting a new graphics card as soon as I have saved up. I am thinking of getting a sapphire r9 290 tri x but am worried about the drivers as I have heard bad things about amd, should I go with that card or buy a NVidia gtx 780 as I know the drivers are better?

I would say go for the gtx 780 as it is a much better card to begin with and new drivers will most likely improve that further

I was thinking of this one EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX780 Superclocked ACX Cooler 3GB GDDR5 Graphics Card for 398.00 pound on amazon.co.uk or should I wait till the next series arrive?

I would suggest the sapphire r9 290 trix as it has mantle capability
And now amd is teaming up with many manufacturers for its support

Mantle will give u a 40% boost over gtx 780
more over its the quietest and cheapest high end card in the market

Go for it
