I cannot install a Brother Printer on my Dell Inspiron (I have already installed the drivers for Windows 8)!

I have a CD for installation of my printer: Brother MFC 7360N. I have it already installed on a Windows XP and W 7. Now I have installed the drivers that they are asking for W 8. I have plugged in the driver when they have asked etc.. It shows that the process is on, but nothing happens - I have no option but to "stop" the entire installation. Please HELP! :)

And you downloaded what exactly? The Full Driver & Software Package or the (For Advanced users)? And was it the right version(32bit / 64bit)? In either cases you have to follow the setup instructions and install the driver, before you connect the printer.

sorry, it is in German :D
And before I have uninstalled the existing drivers ("uninstall tool").
I have forgotten smthg very important: my laptop sees my printer (when I plug it because they ask so:) ) only as a USB, not as a printer!
Please remember that I have installed the printer in the same way, with the same CD, on another laptop with Windows 7 and on a computer with Windows xp -and this, recently :(.

Genau das passiert aber, wenn der Trieber nicht installiert ist. Dann wir nur ein USB-Gerät angezeigt. Kannst diu den Drucker denn über die Systemsteuerung / Geräte und Drucker installieren?
