Hello. I have just bought a system with GPU Asus R9 270X. I bought a "DVI-D male to VGA HD-15F adaptor-24+1" to connect via VGA. But there weren't any images. Then I tried connecting to other monitor, still the same.

Finally I decide to use HDMI-HDMI connectivity. There are images.

However, I'd like to know if anyone is experiencing the DVI-D issue where the VGA is not working?

Thank you.

Solution
Reseat your GPU (take it out and put it back in), while the system is off, then turn the system on and check the VGA and DVI ports. Also, double check to make sure your monitor is taking input from DVI or VGA. If the problem still persists, try contacting ASUS for an RMA

I tried reseat the GPU and the suggested items. Thank you.

Anyway, I found out that the DVI-D (dual link) adapter that I bought is not meant to be used on the GPU. The adapter is to be used on a monitor.
The eventually I exchange for a DVI-I (dual link) adapter and had it plug to the GPU. It works!

Thank you again for the help and suggestions. :)
