Looking to update my sad old PC,

Specs I've chosen are,

MSI Z87-GD65 GAMING Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) Motherboard

4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 4770K 3.50GHz Socket LGA1150

Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Liquid Cooler

Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17066 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit

Coming out at about £600, do you think this would be a good combination?

Thanks in advance!

For gaming, I would agree with the cpu being i5 vs i7, unless you need it for rendering or high cpu intensive programs.

But if this is a gaming computer upgrade, what is your Graphics card currently? As that is the main component used for pc gaming.

Hey, what kinda "Sad old PC" has a GTX 780 shoved in it ?? :)

You don't list your power supply, that's a key factor in keeping a gaming rig running smoothly. I'd be sure to get a good brand like Corsair, XFX, Antec, or Seasonic....

- for a Single GPU, 650watts (something like a Corsair TX-650 watt to start... (HX & AX series are nicer...)
- dual GPU's, 850watts or more..
