Asus 200e screen won't come on.

Bought this inexpensive laptop for my daughter for Christmas. She dropped it yesterday, and now the screen won't come on. All the indicator lights look good, and I think I made the camera come on by swiping the Win 8 start screen. I don't see any damage to the screen itself. Think maybe the display cable just came loose? Any other ideas to try to repair myself?

It could be the display cable, which is obviously a thin connector on the rear of the display panel. It could also be the backlight,but you would see a picture if you shone a torch on the screen. It is reasonably easy to take it apart and look;a how to video on you tube is your best bet.
