Too much money for a second GPU after you spent 4k! Thats like saying there isn't enough water in the sea!

I think you could have saved in some areas to get that second card. But it does depend what you are using the rig for?

@tiny voices. The I5 with 8Gb of ram would not give the SAME performance, however it would give a much better performance per pound. The 3970 will beat the I5, you cant deny that.

@ Zeph_yr. If the 32Gb is used as a 24Gb RAM disk then yes, 32 will be needed, and a 24Gb ram disk will be awesome for load times!
 
The i5 will easily max all current games. there is no need for an i7 or anything like a 2011 chipset. You would be WAY better off with an i5 and 8 or 16gb RAM. Even an i7 4770k is a WAY better use of your money. The CPU you have will be out of date before it is even used to its potential in gaming.
