i have a R9 270x and i am only getting 30 fps on games that i should be getting alot higher

tried updating drivers? maybe the in-game settings is getting in conflict with catalyst settings, leave the 3d settings in catalyst default, see if fps raises.

ya i have updated my drivers and even if i set all the graphics settings at low it will still sit around 30 fps also i never touched the 3d settings

Is WoW the only game that this happens? Try playing other games and see if this happens.

PS: Check if V-sync is off, v-sync locks fps at the refresh rate of your monitor and limits GPU usage, lowering temperature and energy use.

i did my metro ll benchmark and it stayed at around 30 fps also

Hmm, strange, again check if v-sync is off, looks like something is locking fps for you, open Catalyst and see if in 3d settings Vsync is off and triple buffering too.

What's your PSU? Maybe the gpu is not getting enough power to supply the fps in your screen

check your temps of the gpu and cpu in games
