Toshiba windows 8 Laptop will not boot and will not recover, I bought it from a friend this way not knowing it would not boot.
there was no media also, How do I reload windows 8 to get this to work? Should I down load a windows 8 DVD? I am just stuck!

Ok so I have had similar issue with my wifes HP sleek book where there was an issue with the system after a virus infected the system (not saying you have a virus) but to the best of my knowledge you need to create a boot img of the OS from the recovery menu to do this and if you have not done so it has nothing to boot from, there for a downloaded ISO file will work on a DVD if it is a ultra book and you have access to another system unload all the ISO onto a USB flash disk and boot form that and you will be able to recover the system, hope this helps.
