Starting off i just want to say that i already know the basic advantages of having an SSD in my rig, AKA faster boot time for OS and faster load times for programs running from the SSD.

So i am planning on building a gaming rig in the next couple of weeks. I have already come up with a build, but is my rig SSD compatible? I have read that is best to get a 256gb one, but this puts me quite over my 1000$ budget. I was also wondering where an ssd actually went in my rig? Does my motherboard have to be a certain type in order to be able to get an SSD?

Basically i started this thread to learn how i would go about incorporating SSD into my build, and also to get suggestions on which SSD i should buy if i decide to go that route. All comments are welcome and thanks in advance for the help!

P.S. If anyone sees a way that i can change around some stuff (without affecting performance) in order to be closer to my budget, please let me know.

P.P.S. I was also looking for an opinion on my monitor, just wanted to make sure it was a good one for the price.

Here's my gaming rig:
