Will crossfiring improve if I add a worse card?

I have the ASUS HD7770-2GD5 Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 2GB installed on my pc and a spare sapphire radeon hd 7770 1GB. Is it beter to crossfire them or just have the asus? I am not looking to sell them to buy a better just wondering if both is better than just having the asus.

Two card is still going to be much faster than just one. The VRAM will be halved and the core clock may be dropped a bit, but still faster overall.

Obviously 2 cards will be faster than one in CF-aware games. If you do go CF with those mid range cards, be sure to use the new beta gfx driver with Frame Pacing to eliminate micro-stutter that is prevalent with that class of card in CF.

You will drop down to only 1GB of available VRAM, because the other card only has 1GB, they need to match which has the lowest (same will apply for clock speeds)

But overall it would be faster, unless you have VRAM intensive games being played.
