I am trying to format my flash drive that will not allow me to do so normally. I went to disk management and followed the instructions on how to format from there but it still won't let me. It says the device is working properly but it also says primary partition. Does that have anything to do with it? How do I get it to format?

Careful, you might end up formatting the wrong drive...

When you are in Windows Explorer, if you right-click the flash drive, do you have a Format option in the popup menu? Try that one.
