Okay. I heard mixed things about Windows 8. I was wondering what the best os for a gaming rig would be out of either Windows 7 or 8, aesthetics aside. I'm focusing solely on performance and the compatibility of said os with games and other programs. I heard that performance isn't a huge jump, but Windows 8 has superior boot times. I have grown up on 95 (and or 98), XP, and 7. I want to know what I'm getting into with this 8 hooplah before I consider something like that. There are SOME things I think are neat about it, but to sway me over to the Windows 8 side..... That's the reason I'm asking you guys. Anyways. Here is my rig so far. I spent some unnecessary cash on stuff such as the psu and the case, but the discounts persuaded me.
