Edit: I've just seen a lot of similar threads and i am reading them, apologies.

For now though, I'm still looking for the solution!

Hello clever people!

I have a problem i was hoping someone could help with, I've been trying on my own for a number of days and I'm out of ideas.

I recently bought a new Graphics card, nothing too special, Radeon HD 6570.

My TV is a Toshiba 32", and I'm fairly sure it's capable.

The card has two DVI ports, no HDMI, so I've been using VGA/DVI adapter with no problems, until i got a DVI/HDMI adapter instead.

Everything, "seems" to work okay. I had the scaling issue, but easily solved and the desktop resolution all seems fine.

I've been trying to run Skyrim with the HDMI in the TV, but there is absolutely no choice of resolution, and it fails to render, resolution not supported by display.

I can get around this by choosing window mode, yes it works and i can choose resolution, depending on what the desktop is set to, but i don't want a window, i want full screen.

For example i run Half Life 2, it will run full screen, but only 640x480, with no other options.
Also GTA IV refuses to start.

Again, everything works 100% with a VGA cable.

Back to Skyrim, the choice of Resolution is blank, nothing to pick from until clicking window mode.

I was leaning towards a power issue, not enough to run it maybe, but i really don't know.

I can see the difference in HDMI in windowed and the VGA on full screen, and it would be nice to have DVI to HDMI actually function on full screen.

Any help is appreciated, thanks a lot!

/Callum

I installed the drivers that came with the card. I will have a look for the latest if possible. The pc is intel core 2 vpro. Still having the problem, although ive just found out today, if i boot up "skyrim" ( this isnt about a game working, it's about the card serving its function) on a high letterbox resolution, using the vga cable, and i then plug in the dvi to hdmi, and switch the tv source to hdmi.. i have it working on fullscreen.. so why on earth cant i just pick a resolution with hdmi and boot it.. o.0 confusing
