Virtual memory is the "memory" on your HDD. Is your HDD getting full?

Setting the level to system managed should work fine but if you are having issues with the system properly adjusting the Virtual Memory then you could set the values to the following:

Initial Size: 1024
Maximum Size: 4096

How much memory is installed in your system? How much does task manager say you have? Note that if your system is using the maximum amount of memory in the system and is starting to use the paging file then you will see very slow system performance.
