Hello!
I would like help with building my first desktop computer. I've been browsing around this forum and everywhere else on the web, but still do not have a clear enough answer and so I turn to you all for assistance.
I do not plan on heavy gaming. The only games I play (sparingly) are World of Warcraft, Ragnarok Online 2, and The Sims, but I have an old HP Pavilion dv4-1225dx laptop and have only been able to play these games on minimum settings. As my laptop is now making strange noises (and since I also want an upgrade), I am looking for a new computer and would like to play the above games in full (high/ultra) settings. Also, I need a microphone for foreign language studies. Are external speakers better or should I get a plug-in-and-talk headphone?
My budget is $500-700. Would it be possible in this price range? Also, I hope for the new computer to last me a few years so would it be best to get in i5 instead of an i3? Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you! I look forward to responses!
