well my processor fan when i turn on my desktop it will spin for a few seconds then it will stop spinning and my monitor will

first off my monitor wont pickup my desktop when i turn it on it just stays idle(blackscreen) its all plugged in fine but my desktop will turn on and my fan will work for a few seconds and then stop spinning so i know it all works
 
Solution
Double check that you have make the proper connections and that you have seated the CPU/HSF properly, and there are no bent pins on CPU.

If the problem still persists then it could be hardware failure issue. Anyways try hard and take your time, don't get angry with components.
I think your MB is dead. Try a local service centre to test the components, if you are not comfortable doing it yourself.

Or, you can try to remove the RAM from MB, and do start the PC, if you hear beeping sound from MB than probably the MB is ok, else its dead.

no it didnt work i really dont understand why because before i took out the fan and processor so i could add a new one but i changed my mind and put the processor and fan back and closed it and connected it but then it wont display on the monitor
