Router gateway IP overlapped by Modem IP

I recently had our local ISP replace a bad ADSL modem and for some reason, I could no longer access my router's IP. Default router IP is 192.168.11.1. Had no problems setting it up before the modem was replaced. The default gateway every time I use IPCONFIG opens up my ADSL modem gui instead. I can still access the router's gui though I have to disconnect my modem. Is there a setting I should be changing to get this working again? I've tried resetting both modem and router to defaults but still nothing. I have no issues with WIFI or internet. My router is a Buffalo Air Station N300.

Solution
1. Connect Buffalo router to a PC/ Mac w/ Lan cable.
2. logon the router and change its LAN subnet, say, 192.168.10.1 (.11.1 -->.10.1)
3. Plug in modem, use 1 workstation (IP: 192.168.10.7) to test.

Defaults won't do it. Usually there is setting where you can change the ip address of the router. And It's probably doing it automatically. There's probably also a place in the modem's gui where you can see where the router's ip has been rerouted.

It's a common issue.

Does this mean the setting I'm supposed to look for is either in the modem or the router itself? I'm not actually sure where to start though as my understanding of network configurations is very very basic.
