Hi,

Put together my new-build Haswell i7 4.4GHz this weekend, Gryphon Z87 Mobo and a shiny new EVGA GTX780i.

But, unfortunately, the MB does not recognize the GPU. Nothing in the Device Manager either. Power on the GPU, both 8- and 6-Pin, GRForce writing on the GPU lit-up as well, PSU should have sufficient juice.

Have to admit, though, that I only had the GPU in PCI slots 2 and 3, not 1 (closest to CPU) yet.

Can that be it? Can I turn-off the integrated graphics on the Gryphon Z87?

Please help!

Thanks...

From what I noticed, the top Pci-E is a 3.0, and the mobo contains also 2x2.0 Pci-E slots (I think these are the ones you were using).

I`m not sure if your GPU is not compatible to Pci-E 2.0 (should be), but do try to use the top slot for the GPU.
This should do it.
