Ok, so I am resurrecting this long asked question. I have been up most of the night doing research and gathering tools, and bios editors, and VBE7. I have dumped the bios of my GPU to a .rom file so I have that backed up. My main complaint is that I cannot seem to get anywhere NEAR the levels of overclocking that some of you have achieved on the exact same card. To start, here is my rig:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k Ivy Bridge
RAM : GSkill Ripjaws Z Series 2x4gigs (running XMP Profile 1 @ DDR3 2400)
MOBO: MSI Z77A-GD65
GPU: ASUS HD7850-DC2-2GD5-V2 Radeon HD 7850 2GB
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular High Performance Power Supply
HSF: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus
CASE: Coolermaster HAF 912
SSD: 2x Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe 240gig

Ok, So a bit of back story. I have my unlocked CPU overclocked without issue at all to 4.4 ghz (so a 1ghz OC) and that is without tweaking any voltages or memory or anything at all, just increasing the Adjust CPU Ratio setting to bring it up to 4.4 ghz per core. My Mobo has a TON of CPU OC'ing options that help to auto raise the voltage if need be and protect the voltage from going too high. So I havent needed to do much there. My CPU oc'd easier than pie. I set XMP Profile 1 for my memory and thats running at DDR3 2400 with no issues. Now, without my GPU oc'd I can torture test my system for days and its stable. So there is nothing wrong, as far as I know, with any of my components or my setup or my bios settings. It runs solid as a rock.

But I have been reading how overclockable the hd7850's are and that some are getting like 1250 core clock, 1500 mem clock at like 1.15v or some crazy thing. I cant even come CLOSE to that in Asus GPU Tweak, I have also tried MSI Afterburner. Tried them both and went through HELL just to unlock the voltage meter in AB for my GPU. I can get to about 1100 core clock, 1250 memclock at the max voltage of like 1.210v I think it is. With the power setting at 20% and the fan on manual about 40% (in Asus GPU Tweak). That seems to run just fine in MSI Kombuster benchmarking and stress testing. But anything beyond that and I get blue screens. I have mostly been trying to up the core clock so its all BSOD, restart, try again. I have the GPU voltage in the BIOS set to auto, but I have also trie to increase that setting as well and have tried MANY different GPU voltages in the BIOS. I just cannot seem to get my darn 7850 to overclock like the rest of you. Are there any tips you guys might have? Or possibly Im doing something I shouldnt if I want a higher GPU OC? I do have the newest catalyst drivers BTW. Just got those last night.

Any assistance or suggestions would be most helpful. I would rather not have to flash my GPU with a custom BIOS if I dont have to.
