Upgrade Toshiba HDD problem

I have a Satellite Pro with a 500GB HDD which works fine. I have tried to upgrade this with a Toshiba 1TB HDD. All seems to go OK. The files all load from the installation discs I made when I bought the unit but after the last disc has loaded, I am told to take it out of the drive. I do and the laptop closes down. I restart it, expecting the files to install but I just get the message that Windows cannot complete the installation.

Have you any idea what I do to solve this problem?

It's strange that your laptop closes down after being prompted to remove the final disc. On my Satellite I remove the last recovery disc and then click 'OK' on the screen, at which point it restarts automatically and boots in to Windows user setup like it did when I switched it on for the first time after buying it. That's the expected behaviour after using factory recovery discs.

Maybe there is something wrong with the final disc?

can you put the original hard drive back and make a fresh set of recovery discs?
